Now for the first time a camouflaged test mule of Changan Alsvin was spotted testing in Islamabad. Although the source of these images claim it to be a Hyundai Accent, but it’s quite easy to identify that it’s not. Notice the double waistline towards the side which is missing in the Accent, furthermore the floating touchscreen panel is also something not found in the Hyundai’s said sedan.

This Alsvin which is new 3rd generation model comes equipped with a BlueCore 1.5 liter DVVT low-carbon emission engine under its hood and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission options. It comes packed with features including airbags, ABS with EBD, touchscreen unit with InCall intelligent interconnect system, cruise control, hill-hold control, blind-spot monitoring, reversing camera, tire pressure monitoring system & much more.

The Changan Alsvin sedan

Upon arrival the Changan Alsvin will take on the likes of Honda City Aspire and Toyota Yaris AtivX in our market. As per sources the company is also considering to introduce more passenger cars including sedans & SUVs down the line. Rear looks similar to 12th gen Corolla. The interior of the car is also giving off Chinese built feeling, I doubt that it is going to be any better from V2.

Ever heard of a benchmark term? A product is compared by customer against the best in category, Toyota without doubt is best. Also, I love Toyota because by Allah’s grace I own one and love it and say shukar Allhamdulillah, why then should I slobber over other cars? looks good. back does look similar to hyundai. but 1.5 engine might hurt it. they should launch in 1.3 engine & price should be less than yaris otherwise no one is going to buy a chinese car. see what hapened to Faw v2.
