Master Motors finally unveiled the prices of Changan Alsvin sedan earlier this week after unveiling the latest sedan in December 2020. With a catchy price tag and rich equipment & features on offer, the Alsvin received overwhelming response with units fully booked till June 2021. Booking of the vehicle is now temporary closed and will be resumed soon according to the company sources.
Although Changan Alsvin has become the talk of the town now, not many know that CarSpiritPK is the only automotive portal in Pakistan that has been giving coverage to the vehicle ever since it made its debut in China back in 2018, long before it was planned to be launched in our country. Although the news regarding the launch of Alsvin sedan in Pakistan was revealed by our own sources, it was confirmed by a company official in April 2020, however even at that time the official declined to reveal the name of the vehicle while only confirming about a sedan, although it was obvious that it was going to be the Alsvin according to the information we had.
June 2020: Changan Alsvin Spotted Testing for the First Time

In June 2020 the Alsvin was spotted testing on the roads of Pakistan for the first time. Interestingly the original source which captured the camouflaged test mule posted it as a Hyundai sedan, it was CarSpiritPK however, which identified it as the Alsvin. This made everyone else realize which car it actually was & the news spread like a wildfire over other portals and video channels.

In August 2020, one of our valued readers Aqib Ali spotted the Alsvin sedan without any camouflaged wrapping parked outside the Master Motors head office in Karachi. It was for the first time that the Alsvin appeared in its undisguised form on any automobile portal of the country & more importantly it was the first RHD unit that was spotted.

Few days later the Alsvin was spotted again this time revealing its interior, although it was an LHD unit. The registration details of this Karachi registered unit that was seen in Lahore confirmed that the unit was owned by Master Motors.

On 4th December it was confirmed that Master Motors will be unveiling the new Alsvin sedan on the 11th of December 2020. By this time the buzz was already created on social media.

On the 11th of December the Alsvin was finally unveiled in an exclusive media event in Mariott Hotel Karachi. Although at that time prices were not announced however customers were able to pre-book the vehicle online.

On 14th December, first CKD unit of Alsvin sedan rolled off the assembly lines at Master-Changan plant in Karachi.
January 2021: Draw for 1,000 Lucky Winners
On 7th January a lucky draw was conducted to serve 1,000 lucky winners with 1-Year Free Maintenance who pre-booked the Alsvin. The digital draw event was held in presence of representatives of renowned automotive portals of the country including CarSpiritPK.

On 11th January the company officially revealed the prices of the Alsvin sedan making it the cheapest yet fully loaded sedan in the market. Changan Alsvin is priced at PKR 21.99 lac for base 1.37L MT, PKR 23.99 lac for 1.5L DCT and PKR 25.49 lac for flagship 1.5L DCT Lumiere version. With its price & features offered, Changan Alsvin is the most equipped sedan in the market and is expected to give some good competition to the likes of Toyota Yaris and Honda City as well as the upcoming Proton Saga and BAIC D20 sedans.

The entry level sedan segment was long dominated by Honda City which was the only option available in the market. Now however with the presence of Toyota Yaris & Changan Alsvin with an expected addition of Proton Saga and BAIC D20 in upcoming months the entry level sedan buyers are going to have a much diverse variety of options to choose from.
