As previewed earlier, the refreshed 2021 Toyota Corolla for Pakistan will be reminiscent to the Taiwanese Corolla Altis X model from 2017. It will get tweaked front bumper with an inverted trapezoidal air dam & a rear bumper extension with a rather overly done diffuser. The new top-spec X variant for the Corolla Altis Grande will get more goodies such as rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminders for front passengers. Interior is likely to get a few enhancements as well with an all black theme.

However with this, the Toyota Corolla will get a price increase. Although the company hasn’t revealed official prices as of yet but it is expected to become pricier by around Rs 50,000. Booking of Corolla variants, which is currently available in 1.6L & 1.8L engine capacities, is closed at the moment due to the expected arrival of refreshed model, but will resume soon according to company sources.

The 11th gen Corolla in Pakistan was launched back in June 2014 while the facelift was introduced in August 2017

Furthermore due to non-availability of parts, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced to stop production at its plant for 3 days. Plant operations will remain at a halt on Friday, Monday and Tuesday and while the company says it will try to cover up production loss by calling workers on overtime basis in future.

IMC is also in process of introducing the TNGA-based Toyota Corolla Cross towards December which will be offered as a CBU import and will reportedly be priced between PKR 7.5 to PKR 8.5 million. However the company is already carrying on trials & tests of the 12th generation TNGA-based Corolla sedan which shares much of its components with Corolla Cross. It is believed that the imminent launch of the 11th generation Corolla facelift is a move that will help IMC clear out stocks before the arrival of 12th gen model towards the latter half of 2021.

Toyota Corolla should work on enhancing the shape of dashboard. I have Altis 1.6 (2013 model) and I want to have new model vehicle but I don’t like shape of dashboard as compared to mine.

Is there never going to be any checks & balance for these companies who have monopolized the industry. Just keep on finding bullshit excuses to increase prices. With economy so down, purchasing powers curbed, they still find reasons to increase prices. So much greed. Every single time rupee deprecated, they increase prices and now that the rupee has appreciated to 8 months high, instead of taking back those price hikes, they want to further increase price.

They need to be tamed or thrown out, we need to bring n lot more manufacturers for local manufacturing.

I think that these companies cannot be thrown out since they are source of earning to a lot of Pakistani families. I for one like Toyota cars, it is with regret that price has made new car out of my reach however, I know for sure that the product offered by the I.M.C. works very well.

I doubt the likes of Toyota,Suzuki and Honda can’t be kicked out easily in the market..Even the Chinese and Korean car brands increased its prices.

Nice information. The local auto giants are well smart to raise their prices and obviously govt taxes are also been increased and the consumer is the suffrer st the end. Poor built quality, lack of basic specs and non availability of cars in ready stock are painful, while they receive full value four months in advance and use public money for their benefits.
