United Motors have announced to reduce the price of 800cc Bravo hatchback citing positive exchange rate impact. The company while transferring the benefit of strengthening Pak Rupee to the consumers has reduced the price by Rs 100,000.
With this, the Bravo now cost PKR 1,099,000 (ex-factory) effective from 29th of October 2020. It is pertinent to mention that the price of United Bravo was increased by whopping Rs 214,000 in July 2020 citing depreciating Rupee value against the Dollar. This was also the 4th price increase within just 22 months of its launch in Pakistan.
While this is a welcome move by United to bring the prices down which other automakers should follow too. Interestingly however, while the Rupee stands today exactly where it was in July 2019 (Rs 160+/- against $1), the price of Bravo is still PKR 1.75 lac more than what it was in July last year. Nevertheless the price reduction is indeed something to cheer about & should cast a positive impact on sales of United Bravo.
