Kia’s latest compact SUV– the Sonet that made its world premiere in India last month has started to roll off the assembly lines at Kia’s state-of-the-art plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
First unveiled as a concept at the 2020 Auto Expo earlier this year, the Sonet broke all the records of single-day bookings in India and has already seen a massive craze even before its official launch that is scheduled to take place on the 18th of September 2020.
Kia has announced that the commencement of the mass production of the Sonet has been initiated after testing the vehicle for over 100,000 kilometers in different climatic conditions and some of the most challenging terrains in the country. The Kia Sonet will reportedly be sold in various global markets with India acting as an export hub for the South Korean automaker.
