Next Generation Honda HR-V/ Vezel Spotted Testing in Japan

At last Honda has started testing the next generation HR-V/ Vezel as camouflaged test mule was spotted at the Metropolitan Expressway in Daikoku, Japan. The current generation Vezel has been around since 2013 and is in its 7th year of production already, so the new generation model was long overdue.

As per the spy shots, the next generation HR-V/ Vezel will look substantially different from the outgoing model. The key design elements evident from the photos are slim set of headlamps with LED DRLs up front, hexagonal slatted grille, side mirrors now mounted on the doors, a steeper rear glass with a more rounded hatch opening and slimmer horizontally oriented set of LED tail lamps at the back.

The next generation Vezel will be larger than its predecessor as far as the dimensions are concerned. As obvious from the images, the new HR-V/ Vezel is longer & wider while as per reports have a longer wheelbase too which will result in a more spacious cabin with improved legroom and headroom, thanks to a flatter roofline.

There are no technical details available at this stage; however one can expect the new Vezel to get Honda’s latest dual motor i-MMD hybrid setup. More information will be updated as & when available, stay tuned to CarSpiritPK.
