The government in Financial Budget 2020-21 has announced to add 7.5% FED on double cabin 4×4 vehicles that are assembled locally and 25% FED on such cars being imported in the country.
This will impact the locally assembled variants of Toyota Hilux Revo and Isuzu D-Max. According to Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Hammad Azhar who presented the Budget 2020-21 in the parliament said these vehicles which were originally intended for commercial purpose are largely being used as status symbol in the country because of which the FED has been imposed.

Currently the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max double cabin 4x4s in Pakistan are priced as:
