2020 Datsun Redi-GO Facelift Launched in India Priced from INR 2.83 Lac

The 2020 Datsun Redi-GO facelift has been launched in India with prices starting from INR 2.83 lac (equals PKR 6.0 lac).

In terms of styling, the new Datsun Redi-GO facelift features a significantly revised design with a fully enhanced front end with sleeker headlamps, new bonnet, larger radiator grille with chrome surrounds and a redesigned bumper with L-shaped LED DRLs and LED fog lamps.

On the sides, the 2020 Redi-GO facelift gets 14-inch steel wheels instead of previously offered 13-inch, with new dual-tone wheel covers designed to look like alloy wheels. Towards the rear, there are new tail lamps with LED signature light as well as a roof spoiler with integrated stop lamp.

The interior is completely redesigned with better materials and gets substantial enhancements as well. There is an 8-inch touchscreen unit with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, video playback and voice recognition functions. The instrument cluster has been changed with a new, honeycomb pattern background for the speedometer and a blue backlight for the digital tachometer & drive computer.

On the safety front, the 2020 Redi-Go facelift gets added passenger airbag and reverse camera along with the standard driver airbag, high-speed warning, rear-parking sensors, seat belt reminder as well as the ABS and EBD.

The 2020 Datsun Redi-GO comes available with upgraded BS6 compliant 0.8 and 1.0-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engines. The 0.8 liter engine produces 54 hp of power and 72 Nm of maximum torque & comes with only a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0-liter engine develops 68 hp of power and 91 Nm of torque maximum torque and is available with either 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.

Ghandhara Nissan (GNL) having acquired Brownfield investment status was in process of introducing Datsun range of cars in Pakistan however earlier this year, the company announced to put the Datsun project on hold citing volatile economic conditions as the reason behind the decision.
