German automaker Audi has unveiled its electric SUV– the e-tron 50 Quattro in Pakistan yesterday. This is also the first all-electric model in Audi’s lineup.

The Audi e-tron is powered by two electric motors, one at each axle. The two motors combine to deliver a maximum 402 hp of power and 561 Nm of torque. This helps the e-tron to do a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.6 second. These motors are juiced by a 95.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that gives the e-tron a WLTP driving range of 417 km in a single charge.

As for charging, the e-tron can make use of 150.0-kW DC fast-chargers that allow it to regain roughly 80km in 10 minutes and about 260km in 30 minutes. However with a more conventional 240-volt outlet, the e-tron will require about 9 hours to fully charge its batteries.

The e-tron 5-seat crossover has a cutting-edge cabin. The dashboard is packed with multiple high-resolution screens that include Audi’s digital gauge cluster called Virtual Cockpit and two flush-mounted touchscreens in the center. A head-up display, massaging front seats and panoramic sunroof further round out the e-tron’s sophisticated interior. The lack of a traditional driveshaft or transmission benefits the spacious cabin and cargo area, which boasts a generous 660 liters of space.

The Audi e-tron comes loaded with the latest technology and features including infotainment system with dual touchscreens– a 10.1-inch display on top and an 8.8-inch unit below it; Apple Carplay and Android Auto are optional, as is the Bang and Olufsen audio system. There is also a Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless charging.

It packs a host of safety and driver assistance technologies including semi-autonomous driving aids such as adaptive cruise control, self-parking assist, forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning to name a few.

Audi e-tron boasts a 5-star crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and was named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IHSA).

The company offers an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty (whichever occurs first) on the e-tron’s battery. The 2020 Audi e-tron in Pakistan is priced at PKR 15,500,500 and is available for booking.
