The all new Hyundai Aura is based on the recently launched Grand i10 Nios and shares a lot of its underpinnings, exterior and interior with it. In terms of exterior, the Aura sedan is similar to the Grand i10 Nios, though from its blacked out C-pillar, it differentiates itself with its sculpted boot. At the back there are sporty wraparound taillights with LED inserts.

Inside, the Aura is very much identical to the Grand i10 Nios in terms of design and equipment. It features the same dashboard layout fitted with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also carries over the same semi-digital instrument panel with 5.3-inch digital speedometer & MID from its hatchback sibling. The equipment list includes a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, wireless charging, iBlue Audio remote key app compatibility, Arkamys premium sound system and much more.

The engine options include a 1.2 liter Kappa petrol producing 82 hp mated to 5-speed manual or AMT, a 1.2 liter EcoTorq Diesel with 74 hp paired to 5-speed manual or AMT, and range topping 1.0 liter T-GDI petrol good for 99 hp mated to 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.2 liter petrol version also comes with a factory fitted CNG option.

The Aura is available with the Hyundai’s ‘Wonder Warranty’ with option of 3 years/1,00,000 km or 4 years/50,000 km or 5 years/40,000 km along with Road-Side Assistance. The Hyundai Aura will compete against the likes of Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor and Ford Aspire in the Indian market.
