2020 Maruti Suzuki Alto S-CNG Launched at INR 4.32 Lac

Maruti Suzuki has launched a new variant for the Alto BS-VI range equipped with S-CNG technology. Offered in two trims – LXI S-CNG and LXI (O) S-CNG, the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Alto S-CNG variants are priced at INR4.32 lac and INR 4.36 lac respectively.

The CNG powered Suzuki Alto BS-VI comes equipped with dual interdependent ECUs & an intelligent injection system and is tuned to deliver optimum performance and enhanced drivability. Maruti says the new Alto S-CNG offers a mileage of 32 km/kg.

Commenting on the launch Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki said:

The Alto was Maruti’s first vehicle to become BS-VI compliant, and reportedly the company has already sold over 100,000 BS-VI compliant units of Alto in India. Under the hood, the car comes with the same 796cc engine that is tuned to churn out 41hp and 60 Nm torque in CNG version, whereas in petrol-only mode the car offers 48hp and 69 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

On the features front, the Alto comes with air-condition, power steering, front power windows, silver accents for inner door handles, fabric & vinyl upholstery, dual-tone interior among others. On the safety front, the Alto gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert, rear parking sensors and more.
