2019- Best Selling Cars of the World

This is the list of top 10 best selling cars in 2019 from around the world, based on the collective number of cars sold in a calendar year. Courtesy Focus2Move the list is compiled using the Global Auto Database with sales data by region/area/country broken down by type/size/body-style/brand/model. Data are collected by over 300 sources, including all the official providers (local Minister of Transportations or Associations of car Manufacturers).

10. Chevrolet Silverado

The Chevrolet Silverdao was the 10th bestselling car in 2018, and it remained seated at the same position in 2019 as well. It sold 644,013 units compared to 651,090 units a year earlier registering a -1.5% decline.

9. Volkswagen Golf

The 9th position holder, the VW Golf was 6th position holder in previous year. It sold 687,664 units in 2019 compared to 789,519 units in 2018 witnessing a -12.9% decline in global sales.

8. Toyota Camry

Toyota Camry saw its position improved from 9th position in 2018 to 8th position in 2019. It sold 690,729 units registering an increase of 3.1% in sales.

7. RAM Pickup

Securing 7th spot with 731,895 units in 2019 the RAM pickup saw its position improved from 11th place in 2018 and a 17.4% increase in sales.

6. Volkswagen Tiguan

Descending from 5th position in 2018 to 6th position in 2019 is the VW Tiguan which sold 741,297 units and a -7.6% decline in sales.

5. Honda CR-V

Honda CR-V improved from 7th position in 2018 to 5th position in 2019 having sold 818,981 units and a 12.0% increase in global sales.

4. Honda Civic

Honda Civic maintained its 4th position in 2019 with 821,374 units however its global sales saw a slight -0.3% decline.

3. Toyota RAV4

With 931,852 units sold in 2019, the Toyota RAV4 maintained its 3rd position while its sales saw an improvement of 11.7%.

2. Ford F-Series

The Ford F-Series remain seated at 2nd place with 1,070,234 units sold, however the sales saw a decline of -1.1%.

1. Toyota Corolla

Toyota Corolla once again remained the bestselling car of the world in 2019 with 1,236,380 units sold globally while witnessing an improvement of 4.1% in terms of sales. Toyota Corolla is also quite close to achieve a unique milestone of 50 million global sales ever since it was first introduced in 1966.
