The Toyota Raize features styling differences than that of Daihatsu Rocky displayed at the Tokyo show. It gets a large trapezoidal grille with mesh inserts reminiscent to that of new Toyota RAV4.  There are angular housings for fog lamps and LED DRLs along with a Toyota emblem that’s placed above the grille.

The Raize also gets 17-inch alloy wheels but with a different design. Plus Toyota is expected to offer a long list of accessories including different body kits and alloy wheel designs as well as a TRD version with aggressive and sportier styling.

Just like exterior, the interior of Raize will be similar to that of Rocky however it will have faux brushed-aluminum bits here & there. Rest is going to be largely same as its Daihatsu cousin. Both SUVs are based on new DNGA platform that is aimed at emerging markets; this platform is essentially a low-cost version of the advanced TNGA modular architecture.

According to information, Toyota will sell the Raize compact SUV with a 4WD variant too along with standard front-wheel drive versions for the lower trims. Under the hood, the new Raize gets a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 98hp of power and 140Nm of torque. Gearbox options would include a CVT as well as a 6-speed manual to be added later.
