Maruti has launched the all new Suzuki S-Presso in Indian market with prices starting from INR 3.69 lac (PKR 8.19 lac). The SUV inspired hatchback will compete against the likes of the popular Renault Kwid.

Based on the Future S concept that debuted at the Auto Expo 2018, the S-Presso sits on Suzuki’s latest lightweight Heartect platform, and complies with all the safety regulations with features including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters, driver/co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist system, high-speed warning alert and reverse parking sensors.
The exterior may not be as pleasing as the Renault Kwid. It gets twin-chamber headlamps; body-colored side mirrors and door handles; side body cladding and signature C-shaped tail lamps at the rear.

Inside there is an all-black themed cabin with a multifunction steering wheel having audio and voice controls, 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and digital speedometer.
The Suzuki S-Presso measures 3,665 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width and 1,549 mm (with 13-inch wheels)/1,564 mm (with 14-inch wheels) in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,380 mm and a gross weight of 1,170 kg.
Under the hood there is a 1.0-liter K10B petrol engine that delivers 68 hp and 90 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or an optional AGS (Auto Gear Shift). The new Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is available in 5 trims– Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+. Maruti claims a mileage figure of 21.4 km/ liter for the Std and LXi trims and 21.7 km/liter for the VXi and VXi+ versions.
