Honda E Unveiled at Frankfurt- Prices Announced

Honda has unveiled the final production version of its adorable small electric hatchback at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The pricing and specifications of the adorable retro styled electric vehicle have also been announced.

The powertrain features an electric motor driving the rear axle, with two power outputs – 100 kW (134 hp) and 113 kW (152 hp). In terms of performance, the Honda e will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately eight seconds. It also features fast-charging capable to achieve 80% charge in 30 minutes.

Salient features include side-mounted cameras that replace conventional mirrors with 6-inch screens mounted in the corners of the full-width, 5-screen digital dashboard. There are two 12.3-inch LCD touchscreens in the center to display infotainment, while an 8.8-inch screen acts as the driver’s instrument cluster.

“Okay Honda” activates the personal assistant, which will fine-tune itself to the driver over time. Lastly, the My Honda+ service and app provides users with remote climate control, security and location monitoring, and digital key access to lock and unlock the car, among other features.

Prices start at £26,160 for the 134 hp version, rising to £28,660 for the more powerful 152 hp one. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by early 2020.
