BMW X7 Launched in Pakistan and India

BMW’s arm in Pakistan– Dewan Motors has launched the X7 luxury SUV in Pakistan. BMW also launched the X7 SUV in India the next day.

The front-end of BMW X7 features Laserlight with Adaptive LED Headlights and a huge single frame kidney grille giving it an imposing stance. Below is a hexagonal lower grille while the sleek horizontally placed LED fog lamps housing features silver-finished surrounds.

At the back, there are wrap around tail lamps that are connected by an elegant chrome bar. Overall, the X7 carries a similar silhouette which quickly reminds of the other models under the BMW’s X family range.

Inside, the BMW X7 comes with BMW Live Cockpit Professional comprising of BMW Connected Package Professional (including Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, Concierge Services and Remote Services, BMW Digital Key and Intelligent Personal Assistant), a 12.3-inch fully virtual instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and gesture control, five-zone automatic climate control, park assist (autonomous parking), an electric three-part panoramic glass roof and Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge which illuminates more than 15,000 graphic patterns which embosses a starlit sky effect.

Measuring 5,151 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,805 mm tall while having a wheelbase of 3,105 mm, the X7 is the largest SUV in BMW’s stable and can seat 7 passengers across its three rows of seats. The generous 325 liters of trunk space can be further increased to up to 2,125 liters by folding down 2nd and 3rd row seats.

Under the hood there is a 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 338hp and 450 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system comes as standard. The setup helps the X7 SUV sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds while help it attain a top speed of up to 245 km/h. According to Dewan Motors, the BMW X7 is priced at EUR 305,000 (equivalent to PKR 54.62 million) as per the current exchange rate.

Meanwhile in India, the 2019 BMW X7 comes available in two engines. In addition to petrol, there is a 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that produces 264hp and 620 Nm of torque. The BMW X7 SUV in India is priced at INR 98.90 lac (PKR 22.9 million) with both petrol and diesel versions carrying the same price tag. It is imperative to mention that the X7 diesel is being locally assembled in India, while the petrol version is being imported as CBU.
