Hyundai has launched the all new Santa Fe SUV in China. Available in 8 different trims, the 2019 Santa Fe is priced between 202,800 yuan to 272,800 yuan (equivalent PKR 42.5 lac to PKR 57.18 lac).
As for the appearance, the 2019 Santa Fe remains identical to its international siblings in terms of front fascia and side profile, however it gets a different treatment from the D pillar and has a completely different rear-end design that mimics the latest Hyundai Sonata.
In terms of dimensions, the China-spec Santa Fe is marginally longer than international versions with a longer wheelbase as well. This is to give a better legroom at the back row seats since Chinese people love cars with ample legroom, because of which leading automakers offer vehicles including sedans and SUVs with longer wheelbase specifically for the Chinese market.
Inside, the new Santa Fe gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with button area on the underside. Its multimedia system is equipped with Baidu Intelligent Network 2.0 system, Bluetooth, navigation, car networking and other functions. Furthermore, all the three row seats get their independent air conditioning controls.
Under the hood, the China-sped 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe gets Theta-II 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 240 hp and a peak torque of 353 Nm. The engine is paired to 8-speed automatic gearbox and HTRAC intelligent four-wheel drive system.
Earlier this year Hyundai-Nishat introduced the 2019 Santa Fe SUV in Pakistan priced between PKR 1 crore 60 lac to PKR 1 crore 85 lac. The price of Hyundai Santa Fe in Pakistan is more than three times compared to various international markets.
