Hyundai Venue Entry Level Crossover Teased Ahead of New York Debut

South Korean automaker Hyundai will unveil an all new entry-level crossover SUV at the upcoming New York Auto Show 2019. Dubbed as the Hyundai Venue, the small crossover is going to be the cheapest in their SUV lineup and will be slotted below the Hyundai Kona.

Hyundai hasn’t released much details about the Venue CUV, however according to them it will be targeted towards “urban entrepreneurs”. The name Venue is said to have been chosen as a reference to a place where “people want to be seen, more appropriately– inside the vehicle.”

According to SangYup Lee, head of the Hyundai Global Design Center in Namyang, South Korea, the smallest CUV is going to look “distinctively different” than the Kona, adding it will have a “boxy, bold, bull-doggy character.” Although the Venue will be smaller than the Kona, one can expect it to borrow styling cues from the flagship Hyundai Palisade.
