JAC T6 Arrives at Ghandhara Nissan Plant

Ghandhara Nissan (GNL) is preparing to launch the JAC T6 double cabin pickup truck in Pakistan. Six specifically made right hand drive CBU units have reach Ghandhara’s plant for vigorous testing & trials. Once the testing is done, the company will launch the JAC T6 initially as a CBU import while the local assembling of these pickups will also be considered based on the market reception.

GNL already assembles and sells the JAC X200 commercial pickup, the response of which is quite overwhelming. The company is also in process of introducing the Datsun range of vehicles in Pakistan that are most likely to go into production by mid 2020.

As per our sources, the imported T6 units shows an exceptional build quality and are loaded with an array of features & equipment, including airbags, ABS+EBD, Electronic 4-wheel drive selector, double-wishbone suspension, 6 speed manual transmission, multi-function steering wheel, infotainment touch screen in the center console with sat-nav, radio, television, Bluetooth and USB connectivity & internet and a 4-star CNCAP crash test rating.

Under the hood, the T6 has a 2.0 liter turbocharged common rail diesel engine and is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. GNL’s sister company Ghandhara Industries Limited (GIL) has recently launched the Isuzu D-Max range of pickups that are primarily meant to compete with Toyota Hilux and its Revo variants. The JAC T6 by GNL however, will be priced significantly lower than the D-Max and will cater to a different price segment altogether. Stay tuned to CarSpiritPK for more information.
