FAW’s Flagship Bestune T77 SUV Launched

FAW has officially launched the flagship Bestune T77 SUV at the ongoing Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The T77 is the biggest as well as the most expensive SUV in FAW’s Bestune (formerly known as Besturn) vehicle lineup.

The T77 SUV is based on the FAW T-Concept that was displayed at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2018. Thankfully the overall design of the production version has not changed much from the dazzling concept. More importantly the characteristic hexagonal recessed large mouth grille as well as the bright flame orange color of the concept has also remained intact.

The large hexagonal grille has an interesting raindrop pattern, and a chromic strip on top that enhances the sporty appearance of the vehicle. There are swept back matrix headlamps with double LED DRLs on either side of the grille. The side profile features black wheel arches, blacked skid plate and floating roof design. At the rear the C-shaped taillights are connected to each other while the dual-tome bumper with dynamic creases hides the tailpipe and houses the rear fog lamps and reversing lamps.

The interior is as extravagant and trendy as the exterior, with high quality materials and premium finishing with modern architecture of the front panel and center console. There are sports seats for the first row (premium version) with a high backrest with integrated head restraints and solid lateral support, as well as a lot of modern and unique equipment.

There is a sporty multi-functional flat-bottomed steering wheel, a virtual instrument panel and a multimedia complex installed under a single glass. The most interesting feature is the advanced voice control system, which complements the holographic assistant with 43 different skill sets, projected on top of the front panel. The owner can choose one of three characters and dress them in one of the 5 costumes offered. With the help of voice commands, assistants will independently set up multimedia system or climate control, close or open the hatch & sunroof, and perform operations of other auxiliary equipment. The assistants can entertain the passengers  by interacting with them to a certain extent, thus enhancing the travel experience.

As for the equipment the T77 gets climate control, electrically adjustable heated front seats, multimedia complex (navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, radio, USB and Internet access), 6 Airbags, Bosch ABS, eco-leather trim with wood accents, panoramic electric roof, blind-spot detection, traffic lane assistance, reversing camera with 360 parking assist, downhill assist control, electric parking brake, keyless access system and push button start / stop etc.
