Maruti Suzuki Offering Suzuki Ignis Limited Edition

With an aim to boost sales during the festive season, Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition of the Ignis hatchback. Essentially, the Ignis Limited Edition is the accessorized version of the standard car and the accessory kit it comes with, is a dealer level fitment.

The kit comprises of various enhancements including Ignis branding on the doors, silver moulding on the side skirts, faux bash plates, doors claddings and a rear spoiler. The cabin gets special seat covers and floor mats. This accessory kit, with a discount is available for Rs. 30,000.

The Ignis comes with a 1.2 liter K-Series petrol engine that produces 82 bhp of peak power and 113 Nm of peak torque. While a 5 speed manual gearbox comes as standard, a 5 speed AMT is offered as an option.

Suzuki Ignis is a front wheel driven hatchback, with ample ground clearance of about 180 mm (Corolla 175 mm). The car with its smaller outer dimensions, spacious interior with generous head & leg room and increased ground clearance is considered an ideal car for Indian roads, having crater-sized potholes and tall speed breakers. Furthermore the thin A pillars provide greater frontal visibility while the Ignis, according to the company delivers 21 km in a liter, which makes it an ideal choice for the masses.

The Ignis in India competes against the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 and the Ford Freestyle. The Ignis is priced much lower than its rivals, and this gives it a big advantage. The average monthly sales of Ignis is around 4,000 units. The Ignis is priced from INR 4.68 lac which converts into PKR 8.5 lac only.
