After completing nearly 5,000 kilometers in the three countries, JAC team comprising of two T6 racing pick-ups, has won the 12th China, Mongolia and Russia (International) cross-country rally.
The tri-nation cross-country rally is being successfully held for the last eleven years, and has become a popular rally event in North Asia. The competition is seen as actively promoting the mutual communication and development in culture and tourism among China, Mongolia and Russia.
The JAC T6 pickups proved their reliability and high performance in the half-month long competition. The pickups sustained the challenging rally terrain (grasslands, wetlands, desserts and water lands) distributed over 5,000 kms without any breakdown. Furthermore, apart from the anti-roll cage, the vehicles were all-stock. What makes JAC T6 achieve this feat is its powerful engine, refined suspension and sedan-like driving comfort which effectively reduces driver fatigue.
The JAC T6 comes equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharged common rail diesel engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and 4-wheel drive. The engine delivers a maximum power of 188 hp at 4,000 rpm and a maximum torque force of 290 Nm between 1,800 to 4,000 rpm. Salient features include airbags, ABS+EBD, Electronic 4-wheel drive selector, double-wishbone suspension, multi-function steering wheel, infotainment touch screen in the center console with sat-nav, radio, television, Bluetooth and USB connectivity & internet and a 4-star CNCAP crash test rating.
As of July, JAC T6 pickup exports have reached above 2,400 units in 2018, over 50% growth compared to the previous year. At present JAC T6 is ranked at 3rd place among all Chinese pickup exports. This is the third year since the T6 pickup was introduced in international markets and since then has seen its sales growing more than 50% annually. According to JAC, the T6 pickup is available in nearly 50 countries around the world.
