A Japanese publication Noticias Automotivas has published renderings of the 12th generation 2019 Toyota Corolla. The new Corolla has been undergoing testing already and will likely make it’s debut towards the end of 2018.
The renderings portrays a design theme that’s currently being adapted by Toyota products. The front-end features LED headlights and hints of the new Camry with what Toyota calls a Keen Look, while the rear-end features taillights unified by a single LED strip running across the boot.
Although there are no images of the interior available, it is believed to be similar to that of new Camry.
The 12th generation Corolla will be based on the new TNGA platform which also underpins Camry, Prius and C-HR.
The new Toyota Corolla will likely get an array of engine options including 1.5 and 1.8 liter naturally aspirated, 1.5 liter hybrid and 1.2 liter turbocharged engine. Furthermore there are also reports that BMW will also supply engines for the high-end Corolla trims as part of BMW-Toyota technical partnership.
