Datsun to Make a Comeback in Pakistan

Ghandhara Nissan Limited has decided to come in Auto Market with technical assistance by Nissan Motor Co. Nissan currently manufactures vehicles in 20 countries around the world, including Japan.

A delegation headed by Ahmed Kuli Khan Khattak, CEO, M/s Ghandhara Nissan Limited visited BOI and met with Secretary, BOI Azher Ali Choudhry.

Ahmed Kuli Khan informed the Secretary, BOI that M/s. Ghandhara Nissan Limited was incorporated on August 8, 1981 in Pakistan as a Private Limited Company and subsequently converted into public limited company on May 24, 1992. The production of vehicles was started in December 1996; however the assembly plant remained inactive/ non-operational since 2010.

A detailed presentation was given to the Secretary, BOI on Datsun Car manufacturing project in Pakistan with investment of Rs 4.5 billion in the first four years of its operation. This project will create 1,810 job opportunities in Pakistan.

The Secretary welcomed the delegation and highlighted the investment policy and incentives available in Pakistan. Azher Ali Choudhry, Secretary, BOI thanked Ahmed Kuli Khan Khattak, CEO, M/s Ghandhara Nissan Limited and his delegation to boost investment in Pakistan.
