FAW Ranks 125th in Fortune Global 500

A total of 115 Chinese companies made this year’s Fortune Global 500 list, up from 110 firms in 2016, according to the annual ranking released by Fortune. FAW Group ranks at 125th position with total revenue of $64.7839 billion in 2016, up from the 130th position last year.

The US retail giant Wal-Mart topped the list. China’s State Grid stood second and oil giants Sinopec (China Petrochemical Corporation) and CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation) were third and fourth respectively.

This year, China has 7 automotive corporations listed among the Fortune Global 500, namely SAIC Motor, Dongfeng Motor, FAW Group, China South Industries Group Corporation (CSGC), BAIC Group, GAC Group and Geely Auto.
