Suzuki Launches Ciaz S in India Priced From INR 9.3 lac 1

Suzuki has launched the sporty Ciaz S in India with prices starting at INR 9.39 lac (PKR 15.2 lac).

The Ciaz S gets front, side and rear underbody skirts and a prominent trunk lid spoiler with high-mount stop lamp. On the inside, the black color theme and the grey chrome finish on the garnish are unique to the Ciaz. There is no addition to the list comfort and convenience, infotainment and safety features from the existing top-spec grade.

The Ciaz S is available in both petrol and diesel engine models. The K14B 1.4-litre VVT petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engines are in regular tuning, without performance modifications. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard for the Ciaz S.

Senior Executive Director Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki, Mr. R S Kalsi said:

Ciaz has established itself as one of the most progressive brands of Maruti Suzuki and has sold over 1.70 lac units of Ciaz cumulative since its launch in October 2014. Introduction of Ciaz S will further strengthen the position of Ciaz in the market by catering to the requirements of a younger yet premium customer who believes in the sporty spirit of life.

A Ciaz facelift is expected to arrive soon, so perhaps the S grade will help keep the sales intact before the facelift takes over. Keep in mind the Suzuki Ciaz is doing exceptionally well in India creating real problems for the 6th generation Honda City out there.

Why are we so obsessed with Indian car market? It would be good if we get some Malaysian or Turkey or Indonesian automobile news.
