The T340 truck is powered by a JE4D25E 2.5T diesel engine with a max power of 105KW and peak torque of 340Nm and has a front-end inspired from a Chevrolet Colorado. The production of this truck began back in 2011 with FAW-GM collaboration, and according to reports a GM Chevrolet truck was used to develop the platform for Blue Ship T340.

The truck is available in different configurations including a long axis (3405mm), short axis (3095mm), two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options. Safety equipment includes Driver/ Passenger Airbags, ABS+EBD and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). Price in China starts from 106,800 yuan (PKR 16.07 lac) to up to 135,800 yuan (PKR 20.43 lac).

According to Chinese auto portal 360che.com, Pakistan is included in the list of those markets where the Blue Ship T340 pickup will be launched. This does make sense since there is a rising demand of such vehicles in our country, thanks to CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor). By launching the Blue Ship T340, FAW will be able to compete with the likes of Foton Tunland in Pakistan. Stay tuned to CarSpiritPK for more information on the FAW T340..
