Brilliance Autos have officially launched the long awaited H3 sedan on 3rd March 2017. The H3 has been in development for several years and went through different names during its prolonged development process.
Brilliance Autos being a joint venture partner of BMW in China, manufacture & sells BMW branded vehicles in the world’s largest car market. Other than this the company has its own range of vehicles under the Brilliance brand name, as well as another sub brand called Jinbei. The company manufactures hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs as well as vans & commercial vehicles.
The H3 sedan measures 4640/1790 /1445mm, and has a wheelbase of 2660mm. The newest Brilliance sedan is available in two engines, both meeting Euro-V emission standards. A 112hp 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine as well as a 150hp 1.5 liter Turbocharged unit.
The overall design of the vehicle has been much praised by the Chinese media. The H3 adopts a fastback design with clean flow of lines, and duck tail spoiler at the back. There are fog lamps and embedded LED daytime running lights at the front.

Inside, the Brilliance H3 uses red accents in most areas including seats, buttons and meter cluster. It comes equipped with a three-spoke flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and cylindrical instrument panel, and floating multimedia display.
Key features include ABS+EBD, driver/ passenger airbags, engine push start button, engine immobilizer, smart phone interconnection, cruise control , reversing sensors, keyless entry, multi-function steering wheel , alloy wheels, electric sunroof , ESP electronic stability program, and TRC traction control system etc.

Brilliance has been in talks with the government to develop automobile production facility in Pakistan. According to the company official:
“We plan to build automobile assembly plants in a number of countries, such as Pakistan. We are engaged in setting our sights in foreign markets. Building assembly plant in Pakistan will enable us to explore Pakistan market faster than direct vehicle exports; we are looking at CPEC as a great opportunity”.
Interestingly enough, Pakistan is already listed on the Brilliance website as Shahnawaz Ltd. listed as their official dealers. It will be very exciting to see Brilliance branded vehicles in Pakistan, if the company actually starts developing these cars as planned.
