The Ssangyong Tivoli comes with a 1.6 L e-XGi160 engine mated to 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic gearbox. The car is named after the Italian town of Tivoli, and was chosen because it can be read as “I love it” in reverse.

In UK the Tivoli is priced from £12,950 which converts into PKR 17.39 lac and comes equipped with features such as 16″ alloy wheels, Cruise control, Engine Stop & Start system, RDS radio with Ipod & Bluetooth connectivity, Remote keyless entry, Smart steering, 7 airbags, ESP, TPMS, Height adjustable driver’s seat as standard.

There is no official word on its launch or pricing as of yet but it is speculated to be on a higher side, though we will have to wait and see. Crossover SUVs are becoming quite popular in recent years in Pakistan. Honda Vezel, Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, BMW X1 & recently launched Suzuki Vitara are the options currently available in the market. If priced well the Tivoli has a fair chance to become a success.

Stay tuned for more updates…
