Audi Pakistan has launched the 2017 A4 S-Line luxury sedan in Pakistan priced from PKR 5,850,000.
The A4 S-Line is offered with a 1.4 liter (1395cc) turbocharged 4 cylinder petrol engine with direct fuel injection and drive-by-wire throttle system, mated to a 7-speed S-tronic transmission. The A4 S-Line boasts a combined fuel average of 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers.
The S-Line trim in an Audi typically get larger alloy wheels, lower and sportier suspension, xenon and LED head and taillights, a sportier body kit and leather-upholstered sports seats over lesser trims. More aggressive body panels with larger air vents and deeper skirts make the S-Line versions look lower and more purposeful, and the larger alloys fill the wheel arches better than smaller ones. Although these are just subtle differences but, compared side-by-side to a standard model, S-Line versions look more up-market.
Similarly there are small changes in the interior such as a flat-bottom, three-spoke steering wheel, brushed aluminum accents, and perforated leather on the gear lever all help make the cabin feel slightly more up-market.
Audi has expressed its interest to set up an assembly plant in Pakistan and has already submitted a letter of intent to the Board of Investment (BoI) for consideration. Pakistan is one of 57 countries where Audi AG is represented by an authorized importer. Audi currently sells around 900 imported units a year in Pakistan. This number is expected to go up once the assembly plant is given the go-ahead by the BoI. A 5-10% decrease in price could be witnessed in the lower-engine models of Audi, if the assembly plant goes operational in Pakistan.
