New Honda City 2017- Details Leaked

Honda Thailand has put up a micro site of the Honda City facelift, ahead of its launch on 12th January 2017. The company has also released the first teasers that highlight the facelift changes, already posted at CarSpiritPK. In addition, Headlight Mag has also acquired new details as well as the variant list of the 2017 Honda City.

Top variants of the 2017 Honda City will feature LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, bold chrome garnish on the grille that flows directly into the headlamps, revised bumper with new fog lamps enclosures and intake, new alloy wheel designs and a new Cosmic Blue metallic color.

Engine options will remain untouched. The Honda City sold in ASEAN markets pack a 1.5L i-VTEC engine capable of producing 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm. The base model will come equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while rest of the variants gets a CVT.

The 2017 Honda City will come in four grades: S, V, V+, SV. The model teased by Honda is the top-end City SV, which exclusively features LED headlamps with LED DRLs and new 16-inch alloy wheels with diamond cut finish. The changes shared with rest of the grades include bold chrome garnish on the grille, re-designed front bumper and new fog lamp enclosures. It also gets a Cosmic Blue Metallic exterior color from the new Honda Civic.

Like the current 6th gen Honda City, the interior will be all-black with silver inserts. As for engine lineup, the Thai-spec City will continue with the 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, the base ‘S’ model retains the 5-speed manual, while a CVT is optional in ‘S’ and standard in rest of the grades.
