The next-generation Nissan March (Micra) will make its world debut at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show that will commence from 29th September 2016.
Spy shots of pre-production prototypes have revealed that the next-gen March will reflect the styling of the Nissan Sway Concept, featuring an all new design with contemporary touches. The dimensions of the new March could be similar to that of the Sway Concept, which measures 4,010 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width and 1,385 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,570 mm.
The 2017 Nissan March will be based on the CMF-B version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF (Common Modular Family) platform. The next-gen March will be the first alliance model to use this version of the latest modular platform, but not to its fullest. Only some elements of this platform are said to be used for the Micra. The first car to use the CMF-B platform completely will be the second-gen Nissan Juke.
With Gandhara Nissan warming up for a comeback, taking advantage of the incentives given in the new auto policy for the revival of closed/ non-operational units, modern cars like the new Nissan March can give Gandhara an edge in the hatchback segment of our market. Rather than focusing on producing cars from the previous decade, Gandhara should work towards offering better & up-to-date products in Pakistan.
