Hyundai Verna with the 1.4-litre petrol engine will be offered in two variants – E and EX with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 5th gen Verna has managed to sell in big numbers in India, with over 30,000 bookings already and over 10,500 units of export order from global markets. The Hyundai Verna has also won the 2018 Indian Car of the Year Award.

Hyundai is making a comeback in Pakistan partnered with Nishat Group and the groundbreaking ceremony of their plant in Faisalabad also took place last month. The Verna sedan with a 1.4 liter engine (if launched) may give some tough time to the rivals in Pakistan primarily the Honda City. Sensing this, Indus Motors is in process to introduce the Vios sedan to take on the competition in this segment.
