Facelift Renault Captur Debuts at Geneva Motor Show 2017

Renault unveiled the facelift of their most popular product, the Captur Crossover SUV at the Geneva Motor Show 2017.

Captur is Renault’s one of the most successful product in recent times. Within less than a year after it first debuted in 2013, it became Europe’s 3rd best seller in its class after Nissan Juke and Dacia Duster.  By 2015, the Captur was ranked 14th out of the 20 most sold cars in Europe with 195,323 units. In 2016 more than 215,670 units were sold in Europe, breaking the previous year record.

The Renault Captur facelift boasts a visual update and the addition of more functional features including C-shaped LED light graphics, the treatment has also been extended to the tail lamps, a fixed-glass roof to light up the cabin space.

To spice things up, the 2017 Captur facelift also welcomes fresh paints dubbed “Atacama Orange” and “Ocean Blue,” as well as a new roof color called “Platinum Gray.” In total, there are more than 30 different combinations available to personalize the subcompact crossover on the outside, while the interior cabin is available with six customization options. Furthermore, clients can select from a multitude of color packs for both the exterior and the interior.

Renault has also added a premium Bose sound system for music lovers – connected to the latest generation of the R-Link infotainment system, which is now compatible with Android Auto. Added active safety features now include Easy park assist, Front park assist and new blind spot warning.

Renault has not made any changes under the hood, so the 2017 Captur will carry the usual 0.9 and 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engines and the 1.5-liter diesel engine.

Renault will start production of its cars in Pakistan by 2018 as indicated by the company. Renault Duster will likely be the first models to be introduced in the market. In an earlier statement, Renault hinted to launch vehicles with 1.2 liter engine & above, which makes the Captur a very likely option to be launched in Pakistan, keeping in view the rising demand of crossover SUVs in the market.
